Poet turned rapper, Rafael Casal, who originates from the bay has released his newest mixtape project: Mean Ones. Now I'm usually not one to encourage people to judge a book by its cover but this mixtape was a mean one. I've known Rafael Casal to be passionate, but this was a side I had never seen before. Mean Ones, is definitely a project that wasn't held back on. This tape had highs, lows, fast, and slow beats which equaled to a perfect balance of music most hip hop heads want to hear. Rafael Casal took some risks by switching up his style, but overall the risks were worth it and made for a dope package of music.
