Modest Mouse’s Good News For People Who Love Bad News featured the bands hit single “Float On”. The band made a huge break out when this album hit the stores in early April of 2004.The album landed itself a spot on the US and UK’s top 40 list. Isaac Brock’s (lead singer) unique, unusual and compelling lyrics and very out there rhythms and sound were inspired by the Indie-Rock band The Pixies. This band from Issaquah Washington was unknown to many for years, they formed in 1993 and their first ever EP was released in 1994, “Blue-Cadet”, it wasn’t until April 2004 when “Float on” hit the radio that people became aware of their unique style and talent.
